Job Title: Assistant Data Engineer Location: Redditch Salary: Up to 25K DOE Contract Type: Permanent Are you looking for a change of career? Our client is seeking a dedicated and reliable Assistant Data Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, servicing, and decommissioning of audio-visual systems, in addition to managing cabling and wireless network solutions for both educational and business environments. Roles and Responsibilities: Installation, Servicing, and Decommissioning of Audio Visual Systems: Set up, maintain, and remove AV systems in educational and business settings. Install and test both copper and fiber cabling solutions. Use FLUKE testers for cable testing and termination. Identify and resolve any cable errors or issues. Install and commission wireless network solutions. Handle server rack installation, decanting, relocation, and decommissioning. IP Security and Surveillance Network Solutions: Install and commission IP-based CCTV systems. Complete daily written processes, including site audit or survey documents, timesheets, and expenses, on time. Skills: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both in a team and individually. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Willingness to learn Certifications and Qualifications: Health and Safety qualifications or awareness. Cabling qualifications (Training provided). CSCS/ECS Card IPAF/PASMA certification (Training provided). A full UK driving licence is advantageous. Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, and Manual Handling certification (Training provided).
