To help us do this we need people like you, with the desire to play your part in making the world a safer placeWe have created the perfect platform for you to progress your career with Chubb F&S, with a range of opportunities available.Job DescriptionTo manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects of a gross value of circa £250k to £10 million.This is a hybrid role, working from various locations , including home, Blackburn office and nationwide project sites. The role is likely to require stays overnight close to site locations.The candidate will be a strong team player but with an ability to work individually as appropriate.Responsibilities:Administration of the Main Contract(s) including assisting with Project Control information, Change Management and Cash collectionAdministration of the Subcontract Agreements holistically under the portfolio, including execution of the project subcontract strategyProvide advisory service regarding various standard forms of agreement (including JCT, NEC, ICE, etc.), their administration ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span including inception, delivery and close outAssist in development and responsibility for Subcontract procurement and negotiation of all Subcontract Scope of Works and terms and conditionsCommercial management of all Subcontract works – NEC3 (plus all other standard forms and Options)Managing Change, including valuing change and agreeing value consequences to SubcontractorsProject AccountingPeriodic Cost Value Reconciliation(s)Periodic Cash Flow Forecasting and monitoringMonitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variancesValuing ChangeValuing ClaimsProject ManagementWorking with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environmentAssisting in the administration of Instructions and the like.Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme(s).Management of all administration of subcontractsQualificationsTo be successful in this role you will posses:Experience of the JCT standard suite of Contracts essentialExperience of the NEC 3 and 4 suites of Contracts essentialExtensive experience as a site Senior QS with a main contractor or similar organisationMust demonstrate successful financial delivery in a challenging contracting environmentEnsure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures.To be fully conversant and compliant with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures.Complete quarterly ethics module as advised by BPOTo fully comply with all Quality, Environmental Health and Safety directives including but not limited to PPE, Accident Reporting, Cardinal Rules, RAMS, ACEAdditional InformationWith a reputation for innovation and integrity, we are always looking for new ways to provide leading edge, peace of mind solutions to our customers.We welcome applications from talented Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Commercial Managers and Project Managers who live within a commutable distance of Blackburn, Manc hester, Burnley, Bolton, Bury, Preston, Lancashire, Warrington, Halifax, Huddersfield
