Robert Half are supporting a Livingston based pharmaceutical business to appoint a Financial Accountant to join the their growing team. This is a well established company with long history, and they are a global player in their field. The client provide pharmaceutical services from development to manufacturing, servicing the full supply chain.The company prides themselves as a trusted and reliable business that thrives to reach the highest industry standards. This appointment has been created to support the sustainable growth trajectory in long-term.The Financial Accountant will be reporting to the Financial Controller, and you will be working on varied tasks. You will take responsibility of preparing statements, monitoring financial data, and ensuring that legal regulations are met. You will be involved in internal audits, cost and revenue analysis, budgeting, and managing tax payments. You will communicate with and consult senior managers to support investment decisions.ResponsibilitiesSupporting with Annual Statutory Accounts (including holding companies)Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasure & cash management, taxesResponsibility for month-end and year-end closing, including payroll, balance sheet accounts analysis, and other relevant aspectsCash flow forecastingBalance sheet reconciliationsAnalysing and reviewing monthly accounting statements and uploading trial balance and reporting pack for group consolidationManage customer ageing balanceCollaborate with the commercial team to take collection actionsStatutory entries and financial statements for tax purposesProvide support for tax accounting, including VAT, Capital allowances, corporation tax, Duty, RDEC claimsEnsuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAPDeveloping and improving processesMaintain good relationships with several stakeholders, including auditors, authorities, and banksLine manager dutiesKey RequirementsQualified accountant (CA, ACCA, other relevant qualification)3+ years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the manufacturing fieldGood grasp of IFRS and UK GAAPCompetent with MS Office, especially strong Excel skillsStrong knowledge of ERPExperience with SAP FICOExperienced in writing report for both internal and external useAble to interpret financial dataAbility to organise and priorities tasks, take ownership of dutiesStrong communication skillsAble to manage and develop relationshipsExperience of leading and training more junior staffThe ideal candidate will also hold a relevant university degree, and be able to work flexibly around business requirements.On offerBase salary £50,000-£55,000 (depending on experience).Private medical insurance and life insurance.Contributory pension scheme.
