Monitoring and Response Officer - Adhoc Shifts Rate : £12.81 per hour Shifts : 12 hour shifts, 07:00 - 19:30 with 30-minute break or 19:00 - 07:30 Location : Edinburgh Training : Full training provided, including a shadow shift then you would be paired with an experienced member of staff. Manual Handling training included. Requirements : Full driver's licence required. About the Role: Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership's Telecare services offer responsive and preventative support to over 8,000 people living in their own homes across the city, facilitated by community alarms and other technologies. We are looking for creative, flexible, and resilient individuals to join our dynamic frontline service. This role involves working 12-hour day and night shifts on a casual, as-needed basis. While experience in Health and Social Care or emergency response is desirable, it is not essential. Responsibilities: Provide frontline intervention and prevention in the delivery of a 24/7 Assistive Technology Enabled Care service. Respond to a variety of situations requiring assistance at home or in the community, including falls, mobility incidents, and First Aid. Answer and monitor alarm and telephone calls from citizens needing remote or on-site support. Prevent further incidents through appropriate assessment, referral, signposting, and advice. Regulations: This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before starting. Additional Information: A full clean driving licence is required for this role.
