About The Role Trainee Deputy Manager – Lydstep, Pembrokeshire - Hourly rate £13.75- Full time - 43.4 hours a week Please note this role requires you to have a full UK driving license. As a Trainee Deputy Manager, you play a crucial role in managing your team and ensuring smooth operations. Your primary objective is to maintain high-quality service through person-centred care plans tailored to each individual’s needs. You provide guidance and support to your team, fostering a positive environment where staff can reach their full potential. Acting as a mentor, you offer ongoing feedback and opportunities for growth, empowering your team to deliver exceptional care. Additionally, you serve as a liaison between your team and management, effectively communicating needs and collaborating on policy implementation to uphold service standards. About Rosendale: Located in Lydstep with stunning sea and hill views, Rosendale offers a calm, supportive home for up to six adults aged 18 and over. Residents also enjoy access to facilities at Orbis' Bangeston Hall, including gardens, a polytunnel, smallholding, art and music rooms, and more. Care at Rosendale is personalised, placing adults at the centre of their developmental path. We support residents in playing an active, valued role in their community through meaningful activities, leisure, and learning programs. Responsibilities: To lead the staff team in the absence of the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager, acting on their behalf. Supervise and mentor junior staff within the service, providing both informal and formal support. Assist the Home Manager in overall staff team management and development, including supervision sessions, return-to-work processes, interviews, and recruitment. Participate in senior and full staff meetings, occasionally chairing them when appropriate. Ensure that all staff are familiar with company policies and procedures. Assist the Home Manager in developing and implementing a quality management approach within the service. Promote the service's aims in the community and maintain positive community relations alongside other senior staff. Requirements: A minimum of 12 months experience in a Senior Support Worker role. NVQ/ QCF Level 4 in Health & Social Care & PBS level 3. A passion for working with individuals with complex needs. Strong leadership and communication skills. A driving license is essential, unfortunately those without a driving license cannot be considered. Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
