Mobile Garage Door Repair Engineer Salary £40,000 + Door to door + Commission Location: Edinburgh / Glasgow Monday – Friday - DAYS My client, a Specialist Mechanical Door Engineering Company, is looking for a qualified and experienced Engineer to join their fitter team. The Garage door Engineer must have an excellent understanding of all types of garage doors. The position consists of repairing and potentially installing all five different types of garage doors. Canopy, Retractable, Side Hung, roller door and sectional garage doors The main responsibilities of the Mobile Mechanical Door Engineer will include Repairing all different manufactures door types The ability to diagnose and up sell the correct parts to repair the existing garage door A good understanding of the current manufactures price guide Leasing with other parts of the organization giving support with any technical queries. Warranty work for the manufacturing group Assisted site training for trade customers Communicate with customers face to face or via telephone to appease or rectify any potential installation issues. All work to be signed off by the customer on completion. Demonstration / handover required after each job. Competence in using sealant / mastic and other materials such as timber & UPVC. Work carried out efficiently and to a high level reducing remedials/call backs Daily collection of materials from local merchants i.e.: upvc and timber All customers to be given an ETA before arrival. Any discrepancies must be reported to your line manager before leaving site. As a customer facing representative of the company, you are expected to be well presented at all times. Full uniform must be worn and kept clean and presentable including safety boots. Company vehicle to be maintained in alliance with the vehicle procedure. Vehicles are to be always kept clean. Safe load is the driver’s responsibility and must be done securely and safely without causing damage the vehicle or the goods. Whilst loading and unloading, general waste skips are provided and must be loaded in a cost-effective manner. All steel / old doors are sent back to the manufacture for recycling (stillage’s are provided). Any double doors must be cut in half to be placed on the stillage’s.
