Robert Half have partnered with an international manaufcaturing business in Winsford, Cheshire to recruit a Systems Admininstrator/IT Specialist on a permanent basis.The IT Specialist will be an innovator and work closely with the IS team in the USA delivering technical support to the UK team. The IT specialist will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving IT systems and infrastructure and will provide 1st,2nd & 3rd Line support as required and escalate as needed.Responsibilities:* Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.* Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees, resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.* Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software as needed.* Provision starters into the systems and deprovision leavers out of systems.* Ensure the integrity of data security.* Maintain CyberEssentials Plus certification.* Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.* Continuous CPD - keeping up to date with the latest technology trends and developments, recommending improvements and upgrades as necessary.* Collaborate with other IS personnel to resolve problems as needed.* Support network connectivity in multiple buildings.* Coordinate with US based IT team for any architecture changes and upgrades.* CAD/SolidWorks application support.Essential:* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or qualified by experience.* Proven experience working as an IT Specialist or a similar role.* Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.* Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.* Experience with system administration and IT security practices.* Excellent communication and customer service/interpersonal skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.* Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365.* Familiarity with remote assistance tools such as LogMeIn.* Conduct support calls to our vendors when equipment is under warranty.* Support multiple facilities (within walking distance of each other.Desirable:* Familiarity with various Engineering software solutions - installation and troubleshooting.* Basic understanding of network infrastructure and wireless systems.* Configuring deployment tools such as PDQ Connect or InTune.* Microsoft Server 2022, VEEAM, Virtual Environments.* Uphold least privilege for end users.* Group Policy Objects.* Basic knowledge of security frameworks such as CyberEssentials Plus* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.* Proven CAD/Solidworks application support.* Antivirus and Application Whitelisting awareness.* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience or database administration i.e. Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAPSalary/logistics:£35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + additional benefitsHybrid working - 3 days on site, 2 days WFHRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
