Overview of the roleThis is an exciting role providing support to the B2B Team, a core part of Halfords Group, through providing effective business partnering and the creation of financial reporting which drives decision making. As a Finance Business Partner you will provide effective analysis across the B2B Team as required, working with a range of Senior Stakeholders, with specific focus on Commercial Fleet Services and Fleet.This role reports into the Head of Finance- B2B for the Halfords Group.What will the role involve? Supporting the B2B Leadership team in the delivery of the B2B strategy, driving business performance by providing appropriate financial support. Producing financial analysis and commentary – including weekly and monthly reporting, providing accurate, timely and insightful information, and support with appropriate decision making.Supporting the B2B Leadership Teams in understanding and controlling costs, challenging where necessary, and helping to drive operational efficiencies. Holding a key role in the creation of budgets and forecasts for future activity, inputting into risk and opportunity processes where relevant.Providing ad hoc financial information and analysis to key stakeholders to help support various projects. Be comfortable appraising investments and business opportunities, using appropriate financial modelling to drive decision making including using NPV calculations and sensitivity analysis.Presenting as necessary to the B2B Senior Leadership Team on matters such as monthly performance and strategic initiatives. Deputise for the Head of Finance – B2B where appropriate. What skills and behaviours are we looking for? Dynamic and results-driven individual with a high level of energy.The ability to analyse complex data to inform commercial decision making.Strong problem-solving skills; able to find innovative and pragmatic solutions.Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure.High attention to detail in every aspect of work undertaken ensuring accuracy of reporting and analysis.The ability to build and develop good working relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively.Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel. The ability to use PowerBI is desirable.Willingness and enthusiasm to progress and succeed within the business. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience in business partnering desirable.The role is based at our Support Centre in Redditch, with a minimum of 2 days per week to be office based.
