Then look no more as my well-respected client is looking out for ambitious Civil Engineers, with relevant UK experience of minimum 2-4 years' within the drainage, highways and/or infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Job Responsibilities To undertake flood risk assessments, SUDs, drainage strategies and the detailed design of drainage for new developments and improvements works. Knowledge of Environment Agency, Water Authority approval & procedures and land drainage legislation essential. Ability to price up jobs and liaise with clients, approving bodies and other stakeholders. Some CAD ability is essential plus some knowledge of PDS, Microdrainage and Windes. The successful candidate will undertake all size of projects and report to a director whilst being supported by a small team. Experience Minimum 2 years' UK experience Relevant degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng/MSc/etc.) Strong knowledge and understanding of national design standards and best practices (i.e. Environment Agency, Water Authority approval, Land Drainage Legislation, etc.) Comprehensive understanding and use of software packages including AutoCAD whilst PDS, Microdrainage and Windes is desirable also Strong communication and negotiation skills. Strong commercial and financial management skills Experience of meeting attendance to discuss issues with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and other statutory bodies/stakeholders Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to maintain good records.
