About The Role Female Support Worker - Gowerton, Swansea - Hourly rate £11.60 to £12.50 - Full time - 40.25 hours per week A full UK driving license is desirable for this role. Please note this role is designated for female applicants only in accordance the specific need of the individuals being supported and therefore exempt form the Equality act 2010. At Ty Seren we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals. There are plenty of opportunities for socialising with communal lounges and a large kitchen and dining area and several acres of fields and woodland. A day in the life of working at Ty Seren includes: Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment; Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration; Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones; Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs; Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise; General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation; Sound good so far? We are looking for people who care and have: A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships; Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs; A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team; Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes; Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts; A driving licence isn't essential, but would be advantageous; Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
