We are currently recruiting for experienced individuals to work alongside one of our long-standing and nationally recognised clients, Royal Mail. Your role as a Cost Controller within the Fleet department will include being responsible for a range of Technical and Cost Controlling decisions. You will work as part of a team that consists of Technical Controllers, Service Advisors and Administrators and will work across a range of processes that will entail delivering daily, weekly and monthly targets. Main Duties: Scrutinise, challenge and authorise the costs of up to 150 daily jobs Manage estimate/authorisation Workflow via portals, emails and phone calls Interface with up to 100 Maintenance Suppliers and their respective billing structures Quality checking of compliance documentation Investigation of Warranty violations Report on billing accuracy of suppliers within Maintenance network Successful Candidates: Excellent IT skills - preferably with experience in a range of software packages including Excel, Work and PowerPoint NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant Automotive Engineering and/or Maintenance field 5+ years of experience working in a Workshop and/or Fleet environment Although it is not essential, experience of authorising work in a fleet environment, liaising with suppliers and external suppliers and quality checking HGV compliance documentation is advantageous. Working Hours, Pay Rate and Other Information: You will be required to work Monday to Friday, between 8am until 5pm (mix of shifts within these hours). The pay rate that is being offered for this position is £17.16 per hour. After the initial training period, hybrid working is offered with 2 days working from home. This role is being offered on a temporary ongoing basis, with no end date set.
