Flood Risk Engineer Greater Manchester Salary:£28,000 - £32,000 (Dependant on Experience) Working Hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (No clocking in and out) This award-winning flood risk and environmental engineering consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk Engineer to join their team in their Greater Manchester office. The company employs 50 people across the business, with one external contractor currently in the Greater Manchester office. They are seeking both a Flood Risk Engineer and a Principal Flood Risk Consultant to expand their remediation team. Role Overview: Conduct flood risk assessments for planning applications. Develop surface water management plans. Perform drainage impact assessments. Design drainage strategies and detailed SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems). Contribute to geo-environmental investigation reports. Manage various projects across different sectors including residential, commercial, and telecom communication compounds for developers, housebuilders, architects, and planner clients. Requirements: HND or BSc in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field. 1+ year of experience in a UK-based consultancy or local authority role involving flood risk assessments and drainage design. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, AutoCAD, Masterdrain, GIS software, or similar tools. Ability to work independently while coordinating with the line manager. Full UK driving licence.
