Job Title: Purchasing Assistant Location: Banbury Employment Type: Full-time Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 DOE Role Overview: As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clients purchasing processes. Working closely with their procurement team, you will be responsible for assisting with sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a passion for contributing to the success of a growing company. Key Responsibilities: Sourcing suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations for goods and services. Support the procurement team in negotiating terms and conditions with vendors. Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns. Assist with inventory management and stock control activities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met efficiently. Requirements: Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
