The Role: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with autism. Your primary responsibilities will include: About Llyn Y Mynydd: Join our team at Llun Y Mynydd, a tranquil residence nestled in the serene rural surroundings of Llanfoist, near Abergavenny. Overlooking scenic Blorenge Hill, this inviting home provides a warm and secure haven in a peaceful cul-de-sac with gated access for safety and privacy. Llanfoist boasts a close-knit community with convenient public transport and local amenities including a church hall, post office, pharmacy, and supermarket. Our individuals can also enjoy relaxing walks along the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, offering peaceful outdoor experiences conducive to supporting individuals with autism. A day in the life of working at Llun y Mynydd includes: Providing high-quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Encouraging and assisting residents in participating in activities, hobbies, and social interactions. Supporting residents with daily living tasks and personal care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement personalized care plans. Ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all residents. Sound good so far? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs. A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts. A driving licence isn't essential but would be advantageous. Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
