The Company: As well reputed manufacturer within the industrial automation, marine and rail transits markets are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer. If successful, you would be providing your expertise to support a wider engineering team with the design of electrical products for industrial applications. This role is essential to the company as you continue to innovate, apply best electrical practices, and develop products for new market applications. What’s on offer: £45K-£50K (negotiable dependant on experience) 37.5 hour working week 33 days holiday including statutory leave. Discretionary annual bonus Training and development International travel opportunities Health cash plan Life insurance Cycle to work Enhanced Pension What will you be doing: Review design criteria and assist engineering teams with technical aspects e.g. specification of materials. Produce design calculations and relevant paperwork to manufacture designs. Produce and approve drawings, bill of materials and other paperwork. Conduct technical investigations, maintaining appropriate design/support processes and carrying out root cause analysis to initiate corrective actions if needed. Deliver projects on schedule and to budget, displaying acumen to handle a complex range of products with fast-paced implementation. What are we looking for: Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer Qualifications in electrical engineering Experience with DFMEA and CE marking process. Autodesk/AutoCAD Electrical is essential. Use of Creo, Siemens or Inventor would be advantageous.
