ROLE DESCRIPTION Responsibilities: Design, plan, and manage Creative Arts, Crafts, and Performing Arts programs in compliance with national and local requirements, with support from the Senior Manager and Programme Leader for Community Learning. Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality qualification and/or RARPA courses that meet local and national priorities, maximizing funding value within the budget. Manage tutor performance to ensure excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment, and promote innovation in curriculum delivery. Play a key role in various learning and development opportunities, including collaborative projects with community and external partners. Collaborate with other HFALs curriculum teams and local organizations to develop strong partnerships supporting progression routes for learners. Duties: Lead curriculum development to enhance Creative Arts, Crafts, and Performing Arts provision. Ensure enrolment and recruitment targets are met by working effectively with the team and other departments. Collaborate to arrange CIAG, assessment, and interviewing schedules, ensuring proper course placement and post-course support. Embed high-quality teaching practices and innovate in pedagogy. Celebrate learner success through award events and national award entries. Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, and wellbeing needs of learners are met, embedding British Values, Prevent, and EDI into curriculum delivery. Maintain high teaching standards, ensuring all tutors meet Ofsted framework requirements. Appraise, mentor, and develop staff within the curriculum area using performance management systems. Promote digital and online learning in curriculum delivery. Use performance data to ensure achievement rates meet targets and exceed benchmarks. Implement an annual cycle of themed learning walks. Identify and address gaps in learner progress and achievement. Support quality assurance of sub-contracted programs. Model professionalism and deliver some teaching, interviews, assessments, and training. Take a lead role in either Safeguarding or Lead Internal Quality Assurance (IQA). Ensure compliance with legislation and service policies. Other Duties: Participate in performance review and continuous professional development. Promote the service positively and professionally in all communications. Adhere to all H&F Council and Adult Learning Service policies. Undertake other duties as reasonably requested. Contribute to the recruitment and selection of HFALS staff. Attend and contribute to service meetings. Contribute to the annual professional duty cover rota. ABOUT YOU Knowledge & Skills: a. Level 4 teaching qualification. b. Experience and understanding of delivering relevant curriculum areas. c. Successful teaching experience in the program area. d. Ability to develop and manage a responsive curriculum program. e. Ability to recruit, support, and manage high-performing staff. f. Knowledge of relevant developments and policies. g. Understanding of Ofsted requirements and ability to contribute to quality improvement. h. Ability to develop and source high-standard learning resources. i. Ability to work within budgets and provide timely reports. j. Ability to secure funding and additional resources. k. Commitment to achieving the best for all learners. l.
