General Maintenance Operative - FM Service Provider – Bank, Central London - Up to £37,000 Are you looking for a new role? Do you have building maintenance experience? If the answer is yes, then read on... Exciting opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in The City of London. CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Shift Maintenance Engineer based on a blue chip commercial office building based by Bank in the City of London. The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working within a team on-site, he or she will need to be level 2 quailed in either electrical, mechanical, plumbing or AC and will be required to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance across a blue chip commercial office building by Bank. Hours of work/Salary £37,000 depending on experience Continental shift pattern (4 days, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days+3 nights, 4 off) Overtime available Key duties & Responsibilities Ability to deliver excellent customer service To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc. To undertake some plumbing activities including but not limited to clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, servicing systems etc. Assist with office moves (minor office churn) including furniture movers Liaising with the contract management team Investigating complaints and taking appropriate action Ensuring feedback is provided to the helpdesk on the progress of M&E jobs Carry out specialist technical and non-technical work as deemed appropriate to the continuing maintenance function on the client portfolio Participate in the out of hours call rota (£150 per week standby fee, normally 1 in 4) Work overtime to carry out emergency repairs as required and supervise other personnel during hours periods Offer technical support and backup as required Ensure all personnel and contractors that may be working in hazardous areas take all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury and prevent damage to equipment Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with safe systems of work and permit to work procedures Use all relevant tools and equipment within the safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works To ensure the client receives the highest level of service to their assets by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard Ensure jobs are completed wherever possible within the agreed SLA’s Assist Multi-Skilled Engineers where required Requirements Must be level 2 qualified in either electrical, mechanical, plumbing or AC (Essential) A proven track record in commercial building maintenance Good communication skills Health & Safety experience Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use) Ability to deliver excellent customer service Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
