We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.The roleContribute to strategic business projects and reporting to ensure specialist input is provided to business decision making.Communicate effectively with a technical actuarial audience and simplify communications of technical issues to a non-technical audience.Develop, coach and mentor actuarial trainees and analysts as required to maximise their contribution.Contribute to the preparation of papers and reports for senior management as required.Continually look to enhance processes and procedures to deliver effective solutions for the business.Maintaining up to date regulatory, business & professional knowledge in an environment of fast-moving regulatory change.Regularly working to defined and tight timescales whilst maintaining professional standards.Balancing business demand, issues and risks by applying sound judgement in complex scenarios, often with considerable uncertainty.What are we looking for?We are looking for a qualified Actuary with varied experience in actuarial reporting and change, or other life actuarial disciplines with a strong track record of delivery in a commercial environment.Knowledge of financial reporting metrics, including SII is highly desirable, as is experience of working in actuarial change delivery. Modelling experience is desirable and the ability to apply existing modelling knowledge to utilise new technologies.Someone who is keen to learn quickly in a changing environment having a strong appetite for change and experience of driving continuous improvement will fit well with the role.You will have an ability to build strong relationships and drive action through influence and collaboration across boundaries, combined with experience and ability to influence and communicate effectively with a variety of colleagues and senior stakeholders from different disciplines across the business.We want to hire the whole version of you.We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
