Lead Content Engineer/Architect Contract UK or Europe Remote Working for our US Client About the Role: We are searching for highly motivated and experienced Lead Engineer/Architect(s) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of content preparation, ensuring high-quality media assets are delivered efficiently and meet project requirements. To be considered for an interview, you MUST have used ‘SDVI Rally’ and/or ‘Fabric Studio’ Responsibilities: Lead and manage the content preparation process, from content acquisition to transcoding and data management. Research and identify content sources (e.g., documentaries, stock footage) aligning with project needs. Negotiate licensing agreements with content providers and manage content acquisition budgets. Oversee content delivery logistics and ensure adherence to timeframes. Manage and maintain content databases or asset management systems. Utilise media transcoding tools and software to convert media files between formats while maintaining quality. Implement and enforce technical specifications and industry standards for content preparation. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the content preparation team. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in content preparation and media management. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Lead Engineer/Architect in a media or broadcast environment. In-depth knowledge of media formats, codecs, and quality considerations. Expertise in media transcoding tools and software. Strong understanding of content management systems and metadata management best practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience working within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. Experience with broadcast or media production workflows a plus. Understanding of copyright and licensing issues in the media industry.
