We have an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who will work on a portfolio of projects under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure that value for money is achieved alongside contractual compliance. You could have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging in value from £25k to £200M during your career at Thames Water. What you’ll be doing as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor Supporting with the Commercial Assurance of Retail Delivery Contracts Challenge and agreement of small to medium value project Tenders Compiling Detailed Estimates for Customers / Developers Ensuring that payments are made on time and in accordance with the Contract for your given portfolio of Projects Assessing the Quantum of Change and / or Extension of Time under the relevant Contracts on assigned portfolio Attending monthly site meetings on site Auditing and agreeing on Project Accounts Base Location: Reading - Hybrid Working Pattern or hours: 36 hours What you should bring to the role: Experience of commercially managing small projects both pre and post contract Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying of equivalent Have a desire to work towards gaining Chartered Status Be aware of water regulation (incl. OFWAT Price Review methodology) Be good at building and maintaining relationships Have good communication skills Hold a full UK Driving license and have your own transport What’s in it for you?
