Job Title: Mechanical Fitter Location: Livingston Salary: £36,937.32 and after 12 weeks probation going up to £37,700.32 Working Hours 37hrs per week Monday to Thursday 6am to 2pm, Friday 6am to 12.20pm Monday to Thursday 2pmto 10pm, Friday 12.20pm to 6.10pm Monday Thursday 10pm to 6am and Friday 6:40pm to 1am Profile We are lucky to be working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. A vacancy has arisen for a Production Associate - Maintenance Mechanical to join their team based in Livingston. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who would like to continue their career within an exciting and progressive manufacturing facility. Responsibilities As part of a skilled team, this role involves working to both planned and reactive maintenance schedules within the plant, repairing and maintaining forging presses, furnaces, machine tools. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for all elements of electrical plant maintenance Applicants must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload. You must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings. You must also be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces, as well as having basic IT skills together with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior industry experience in mechanical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, trouble shooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programmes to meet statutory requirements is essential. Education Time served HNC in an engineering discipline (Must have trade papers)
