Internationally successful: The Wienerberger GroupCome and join us as a Production Shift Leader at our Kingsbury site near Tamworth!About the RoleAs a Production Shift Leader at our Kingsbury site, you will be fully trained to work with our specialised tools and machinery which we use to produce bricks ready for use in the construction industry.You will manage a shift of production operatives, leading them to achieve their production, quality and safety targets.You will also line manage a number of the Operators, providing them with technical expertise, supporting their personal development and any areas of improvement.Duties include:To plan and manage the team on a daily basisAddressing/reporting Health and Safety issuesEnsuring Health and Safety standards are achieved and that is used where needed.Monitor quality in all areas of productionMonitor process control reportsPlan to ensure all materials and equipment needed is available to run the shift for production.Ensure that all paperwork is correctly filled inWork closely with the maintenance departmentWork with shift leadership and plant management on all aspects of production.Assist in the implementation of quality and environmental management.Act as the first point of contact for your team members sickness or absenceHours of Work: 6pm to 5pm, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.About youYou will have experience working as a Production Operative in a manufacturing environment and ideally will have experience with supervision/line management or have the right transferable skills to offer, such asCoachingAddressing performance issuesMotivating othersManaging changeConflict resolutionAdministration skillsResource planning and organisationYou will also demonstrate best practice in relation to health & safety standards and have experience with continuous improvement activities.You will also haveAn adaptable style, comfortable managing change and adjusting priorities to help the factory achieve its goalsExperience with 5s and Gemba dutiesExperience of writing detailed Risk AssessmentsKnowledge of SOPs and SWPStrong communication skills (both verbal and written)Confidence and a positive attitudeDesirable – heavy clay manufacturing industry experienceAbout our BenefitsWeekly paidAverage annual salary of £34,000 (inclusive of allowances and bonuses)There is an expectation that you will provide overtime cover for your peers (equivalent of an average £3,000) per annumAdditional earning potential through additional overtime opportunitiesTraining and opportunities to grow your career with usCompany PensionSIP – ability to become a shareholder via our Share SchemeLife AssuranceFlexible benefits offering (including health, wellbeing and money saving opportunities)So what are you waiting for?
