TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER Contract Role £200-300 p/d (outside IR35) Remote Are you a proactive automation test engineer with streaming app test experience? Join an innovative team within a TV company that’s leading the industry. About the Role As an automation test engineer within our testing team, you will be designing, implementing and maintaining test scenarios and tooling to ensure that the products we develop for our customers are of the highest quality. These products are most commonly web applications or (AWS-based) event-driven, back-end infrastructure; although we develop mobile, smart TV and set-top box apps too. The role involves collaborating with architects, developers, product owners and other stakeholders in order to understand the most effective approach to ensuring product quality, and to facilitate rapid and safe feature development. You will develop and execute automated test strategies of various types: e2e/system tests, smoke tests, UAT tests, NFR testing etc. Knowledge and Skills Essential Technical Skills Expertise in implementing test automation Experience in using Suite.st Proficient in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS CI/CD tooling e.g. GitHub Actions, BitBucket Pipelines, GitLab or similar Streaming app test experience Essential Soft Skills Excellent interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with stakeholders Modesty, honesty and a keenness to take ownership and responsibility Ability to self-organise with excellent attention to detail Join our team and be part of a company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning.
