Plant Fitter Are you an experienced Plant Fitter looking for a new challenge? Vector is recruiting for a skilled Plant Fitter to join our client, a leading infrastructure services business in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of construction machinery and equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, cranes, and generators. This is a permanent position with a basic salary of £50,000+ pa, this can be negotiable for the right candidate, depending on experience. The Job Routine Servicing & Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and safety of construction machinery. Fault Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in construction equipment. Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to on-site breakdowns and perform emergency repairs as needed. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and complete relevant documentation. Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies at all times. Skills & Experience Required Experience: Previous experience as a Plant Fitter within the construction or heavy equipment industry. Technical Knowledge: Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in construction machinery. Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent is desirable. Driving License: Valid driving license and willingness to travel to different sites as required Shift and Salary Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 17:00 £50,000+ pa basic, dependent on experience.
