Job Title: Supported Internships Coordinator Duration: Temporary for six months Company: Warwickshire County Council Hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours a week, between the hours of 09:00 – 17:30 (17:00 finish on a Friday) Location: Warwick Salary: £31,364-£16.30ph Start Date: ASAP What does the job entail? On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Supported Internships Coordinator to join their team. This is a high-profile post and would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked within a similar role, that is looking to further develop their experience within Local Authority. The post will have responsibility for co-ordinating Supported Internship provision across Warwickshire with the aim of developing the number and range of Supported Internship opportunities available. You will achieve this by: Offering innovative approaches to delivery wherever possible and support Learning Providers to further develop their offer of Supported Internship programmes. Having the responsibility for establishing a Supported Internship Forum within Warwickshire, made up of Employers, Learning Providers and other Key Agencies. To ensure consistent, high-quality processes are in place for the successful delivery of the 16 to 24 Supported Internship offer in Warwickshire. Undertaking marketing and comms activities to raise awareness and the profile of Supported Internship opportunities in Warwickshire. To develop the Supported Internship infrastructure to become financially sustainable. To increase the number of host employers, student enrolment and improve employment outcomes for young people with SEND. To develop, implement and maintain a Supported Employment Forum in Warwickshire Running events and attending Recruitment Fairs Working with colleges and business to support young people in finding employment Looking to increase the amount of offers received What are we looking for in the ideal candidate? Proven track record of working effectively with different stakeholder groups. Experience of working within the SEND and Post 16 education sectors.
