We have a spacious nursery flooded with natural light that is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly team in Southampton. Close to transport links, this nursery offers plenty of resources for the children, including sensory play. They have imaginatively designed outdoor spaces which enable the children to feel inspired as they become adventurous explorers, budding athletes or green-fingered gardeners. There are also peaceful areas which provide space for children to enjoy some quiet time with their friends. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be organising your key children’s daily routines, liaising with parents, providing an enabling environment, and delivering high quality care. You will support each child’s individual needs, interests, and learning whilst providing effective interaction within a fun and stimulating environment that allows them to explore and discover new skills and experiences. Responsibilities: Cultivate a secure, dynamic, and interactive setting for children, tailored to their unique requirements and developmental milestones Devise and implement activities suitable for each age group, fostering the growth of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills Consistently monitor and evaluate children's progress, sharing updates with parents and caregivers Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure a unified and supportive childcare approach Engage with colleagues, contributing to a constructive team environment by exchanging ideas and implementing best practices Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The Nursery Practitioner will require a recognised Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification Previous experience in a childcare setting or similar environment Proficiency in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework Exceptional communication and interpersonal aptitude Dedication to establishing an encouraging and inclusive learning environment for children Life is diverse, and so are our opportunities.
