We are on the lookout for a maternity cover Nursery Manager to join a caring setting close to Colchester which offers a loving and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop their social, physical and emotional capabilities. This nursery is close to the railway station and has good public transport links. As the Nursery Manager, your leadership will ensure that every child receives the best possible educational start in life, creating and implementing a curriculum designed to meet their individual learning and development requirements. You will support, mentor and develop the nursery team as well as supervising the administration and financial aspects of the nursery to ensure its smooth daily running. In addition to an excellent salary, you can expect professional and ongoing development, 28 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (on a pro rata basis), your birthday off, well-being services, team events and celebrations and much more. Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, providing leadership and support to a team of dedicated educators and practitioners Engage with families, building strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring they are kept fully up to date with their child's progress Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for children, families, and team Develop and implement stimulating and developmentally appropriate educational programs, that imbue a love of learning in the children Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the nursery Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification, ideally with management qualifications Have experience in a managerial role, based in an early childhood education setting Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organisational skills and multitasking abilities Comprehensive understanding of early childhood education best practices and regulatory requirements If you want to become a vital part of a nursery team and help create a warm, supportive environment where children thrive, don't miss this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in their lives.
