You will play a crucial role in helping learners develop essential skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of each individual learner. Your passion for education and dedication to our learners' success will make you a valuable asset to our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a close-knit, supportive team committed to staff well-being. This is a full-time, permanent role, 37 hours per week over 4.5 days: Monday to Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1:00 pm finish on Fridays. You will be working with approximately 12 to 14 learners at any time. All planning and marking are done on-site within working hours, and there is no requirement to complete additional extra-curricular activities outside of your working day. Responsibilities of the Tutor: • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation. • Assess learner needs and develop individualised learning plans. • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback. • Support learners in achieving their qualifications. • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners. • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and best practices in functional skills education. Requirements of the Tutor: • A teaching qualification OR subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards). • At least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy. • Proven track record of effective teaching in your subject specialism. • Ability to gain, hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
