Senior Supervisor Cowley, Oxford Permanent (3 days per week) £30,000-£32,000 PA Pertemps are exclusively recruiting for a Senior Supervisor for a company based within the BMW Mini plant in Cowley, Oxford. The role Assisting site management in operational technical cleaning activities. This will include, assisting in the management of labour and resources, plant and equipment operation and maintenance, Health & Safety, Quality audits using IOS platform & administrative duties. You will be required to take a planned approach to routine scheduling and have an ability to respond effectively to any emergency or unplanned requests for work made by the customer. Senior Supervisor Duties Be responsible for assisting in the management of all operational cleaning activities to provide the timely delivery of services to a standard which exceeds those as required by the customer within a defined area of Plant To manage operational resource for efficient working both as teams and as individuals, supporting capacity and resource planning activities where appropriate To actively assist the Paint Shop Manager and other Site Contract Managers by maintaining robust and close supervision of the team. Able to investigate employees for misconduct, gross misconduct and other behavioural issues that arise in addition to breaches of Health & Safety regulations Ensure Health & Safety Regulations are followed regarding the safe use of Plant and Equipment Assist in the procurement of capable and reliable plant and equipment Comply with all service and maintenance arrangements for the equipment used for cleaning Prepare and carry out internal training sessions Provide regular reports and support the management team Qualifications & Experience Required Proven people management skills from previous role Knowledge in Health & Safety management systems Certified Lead Quality Auditor for 1st and 2nd parties Understanding and application of problem-solving techniques (8D or similar) Full Clean driving License Handling customer complaints and queries face-to-face Managing in an industrial cleaning environment Desirable Knowledge & Experience Knowledge of COSHH Knowledge of IOSHH Managing Safety Experience of how to delegate effectively People management experience Skill, Abilities and Personal Qualities Able to combine determination and resolve with diplomacy and tact to influence peers and non-reports to achieve desired outcomes Excellent management skills, with high level of self-organisation and ability to influence others by example Self-motivated to complete a task from start to finish Ability to produce professional documents using Microsoft Office packages Able to flowchart processes, conduct process improvement analysis Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to a wider group More about the Senior Supervisor role You will have five supervisors reporting into you, with approximately 80 paint shop operators reporting into your supervisors Working hours: 34.5 hours per week across three fixed days per week Working days: Wednesday (Day Shift) then Saturday and Sunday on a two-week rotation Weekend days to nights rotation can be flexible 06:00-18:00 when on day shift 18:00-06:00 when on night shift Free parking 17 days annual leave (inc.
