Role Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with autism, helping them to develop skills, achieve their goals, and enjoy a high quality of life. About Dan Y Coed: Located on the spectacular coastline of Swansea Bay and minutes from the sandy beaches of the Gower. Dan Y Coed is a bright modern home located on the same site as the school, so offers a wide range of learning and living options. Children are encouraged to get creative and put their personal stamp on their own space, bringing as much or as little from their home as they like. A day in the life of working at Dan Y Coed includes: Provide person-centred care tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Support individuals in participating in meaningful activities, leisure, and learning programs. Promote independence and encourage individuals to engage with their community. Build strong, trusting relationships with individuals, their families, and the wider care team. Maintain accurate records and contribute to care plans. Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring a safe environment for all. Sound good so far? We are looking for people who care and have: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided. A genuine passion for supporting individuals with autism. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Relevant qualifications in health and social care are advantageous. Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
