Pertemps are delighted to be supporting our esteemed client based in Broxburn in hiring a Horizontal Borer. Pay: £14.98 (dayshift) | £22.47 (nightshift) Location: Broxburn Hours: 37 hours per week with optional overtime Shifts: Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 17:00 (Dayshift) or Monday to Thursday 21:15 - 07:00 (Nightshift) Contract: Temp to perm Must have time served apprenticeship in any mechanical discipline Must have machining skills using manual horizontal/vertical borers. Any applications without both will not be considered for the role. Main Responsibilities: Ensure all quality procedures are followed as detailed Ensure product is manufactured or finished to the correct specification Ensure specification changes are highlighted and passed for amendment Communicate all production problems to Team Leader /Assistant Production Manager Ensure all product identification is complete Carry out machine changeovers in conjunction with workload requirements and production targets Comply with Company Housekeeping standards Work through and resolve process running faults, escalating as required Responsible for complying with Health & Safety procedures. Output targets to exceed 80% efficiency Rejects minimised aiming towards 0% Customer complaints minimised aiming towards 0% Machine breakdowns are avoided and minimised by ensuring correct machine set up Documentation is legible and accurate Recurring manufacturing problems are reduced Please apply online and attach your CV and I will call you to discuss the role"
