Job Introduction Sodexo Live! have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and highly experienced Hospitality Manager to join our team based from the Ascot Racecourse!We are committed to providing our guests with an outstanding experience hosting one of the world's most prestigious race meetings, Royal Ascot, as well as 21 race days and numerous non-racing events each year and you will lead, develop, manage, and motivate a high-performing team to ensure that our clients receive services of the highest quality. You will assist with creating SOP's and ensure they are achievable and assist with the set-up and breakdown of the Hospitality areas in line with agreed SOP's, as well as coordinate the training of casual management and staff in conjunction with the Training Department. Your excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as strong attention to detail and your ability to work in a team environment will be essential for this role.You will work with all departments to share best practice across the site and work with the culinary and cellar teams to enhance the menu and product offer.You will ensure we deliver memorable experiences for all services at this prestigious venue while maximizing the profitability.Above all you will promote Ascot Racecourse ensuring that the venue is considered the place to be seen.We’re experience makers and food fanatics. Be part of something greater.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESTake day to day responsibility for managing the variable costs within the agreed price budgetsDevelop and recruit a strong team of casual managers and staff with specific focus on consistencyMonitor KPI reportingStaffing and training forecastsExecute the agreed Training Programme in conjunction with the HR and Staffing department Take the lead on delivering the clients internal hospitality bookings and catering requirements (called Agreed Price) on racedays including Royal Ascot.Ensure that all areas under the Hospitality operation fully comply with Sodexo’s polices on Food Safety and Health & Safety and meet the standards set out within Safeguard audits.Work with the Head of Hospitality to ensure all costs and expenditure are controlled in line with budgetTHE IDEAL CANDIDATETo deliver the optimum service to a venue that is like no other, and exceed our client’s vision and expectation, you will already have experience of working in a comparable role in establishments that are focused on both fine dining and delivering the optimum service to large volume events.
