Job Title: Plant Fitter/ Mechanic Location: North Lanarkshire Salary: Up to £40k Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm or as required. We are delighted to be working with one of Scotland's most prominent land drilling contractors. Founded in 1960, they are employed to provide ground investigation, mineral exploration, geothermal and water well services on development sites throughout Scotland. Description Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team of support staff. The Plant Fitter will work primarily from their base in Cleland with opportunities to travel to sites in some fantastic locations across the Central Belt and wider Scotland. The role with primarily entail servicing, maintenance, upgrades and repairs to our fleet of drilling rigs, auxiliary vehicles, and light commercial vehicles. Candidates should be experienced as a plant fitter with knowledge of key areas such as hydraulics, engines, gearboxes, pumps, air compressors and welding. The role offers a variety with opportunities for further learning and training. Must have a full UK driver's license and access to transport to get to their premises in Cleland if required. Must be safety aware and prepared to work on strictly managed sites. Trailer license would be beneficial. Comfortable working in a busy environment and with a "can do" attitude. Must be a comfortable working as part of a team. Experience in operating drill rigs at between 10 - 25 tonne, hydraulic 9 tonne excavator / JCB 3CX and a fleet of 4x4's would be a distinct advantage.
