Maintenance Engineer Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire. Hours: Mon- Fri | 08.00am – 17.00pm | 30-minute lunch break & 2 x 10-minute breaks throughout the day. Package: £40,000 per annum DOE. - Mobile Phone - Pension enrolment Duties Include: • Responsible for safe and efficient operation of overhead gantry cranes and systems to a high standard. • Maintain plant and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation to reduce downtime. • Keep maintenance records. • Organize maintenance on equipment between production requirements. • Work at heights. • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with good practice, relevant legal and company standards. • Work on your own initiative. • Fault diagnosis and repair, interpreting electric diagrams and machine faults. • Repair and service hoist lifting equipment. • Purchase equipment to ensure all essential spares are in stock to cover breakdowns. • Reduce manufacturing costs through improved design and consultation with suppliers and purchasing. • Good communication skills. • Fully flexible approach to the job role responsibilities. Essential Criteria: • City and Guilds 2/3. • Electrical Installation 17th/18th edition. • Previous experience in providing maintenance to overhead cranes. • Ability to work at heights. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work well within a team environment.
