Job Introduction As a Driver LGV Runway Sweeper​ at Sodexo at Wattisham Flying Station, Ipswich, You’ll be responsible providing all activities associated in relation to Transport Services as part of the team, ensuring: Driving vehicles safely, efficiently, economically and in a professional driving manner, in accordance with current Civilian, Sodexo and Military regulations to any authorised location in the UK. You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.What you’ll do: To drive various vehicles in licence categories held as trained supporting the transport team.Provide foreign object debris clearanceDaily undertaking of assigned tasks in supporting the transport services delivery and associated tasks.To deliver service excellence and outstanding customer service.Ensure the vehicles are secure when not in useAssist the Supervisor and Yardman to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and security for all the fleet vehicles. As a qualified commercial driver, you are required to perform the following tasks:Driving duties on all Sodexo and MOD approved businessComply with civilian legislation, highway code, EU drivers’ hour’s, WTD, Sodexo policy and MOD regulations and proceduresCarry out vehicle road worthiness checks prior to, during and on completion of tasks and report any/all defects in writing to your Supervisor immediatelyMaintain all driving records and documentationMonitor and/or supervise vehicle loading to ensure that the vehicle is safe to drive, not overloaded and operating within vehicle limitationsMaintain high standard of vehicle cleanliness on completion of taskEnsure the vehicles are secure when not in use Assist Supervisor and/or Yardman to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and security for all fleet vehiclesWhat you bring:People Friendly, Customer service skills are essentialHeld a full UK Driving license with Full Vocational Category C for 2 years or moreMust be over 25 years of age to driver company vehicleAble to work within a team environmentGood communications skillsAbility to work on own initiativePrevious experience in a similar role is desirable Valid Driver Qualification Card (DCPC)Valid Digital Tachograph CardGood geographical knowledge of the UKWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it’s a chance to be part of something greater.
