Shahyar is an experienced finance professional who enjoys solving complex problems and taking calculated risks.

Shahyar has a 20-year track record in capital markets. He has spent most of his career at J.P. Morgan in sell- and buy-side roles in London, Paris, and NYC serving sophisticated institutional clients in various capacities: managing a trading book (including during the GFC), negotiating complex financing deals, and managing associated risks, structuring investment vehicles, and optimizing financial decisions with analytics.

He has been an active volunteer assisting social businesses in the US and Europe since 2012.

Shahyar is now based in France, where he is responsible for research and business development at EDHEC Risk Institute, the EDHEC Business school academic research center for for industry-relevant financial research.
