For a company active in the logistics sector, Hays is looking for an Accounting Manager, with experience with people management and a true passion for accounting.
As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of the month-end closing activities, the setting up of all balance sheets, the P&L accounts and the preparation of the annual accountants (in addition to the supervision of the various tax declarations and contact with the tax authorities if necessary). You'll manage a team of Accounting Team Leaders (lead, coach and assess a team of 5 direct reports ), you'll supervise the assistance to the statutory auditors during their legal audit work and the improvement of systems/procedures. You'll report to the CFO .
You have a higher degree in accountancy and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in the logistics/industrial sector is a strong asset. You speak French fluently and have a good level of Dutch. You have a good command of IT tools and are IT driven. You are rigorous, curious, can take initiatives, have a true team spirit and a strong ability to build strong relationships with the team.For this role you get a permanent contract, an attractive salary with fringe benefits (€5000-€7500 gross, company car, meal vouchers, pension plan, ...)
