Base + bonus - dependent on industry experience
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative, class leading silicon for a company who is assembling a highly skilled SoC team! My client has opened a small design centre in the south of the UK, Bristol. They are developing a novel photonic-electronic architecture that will bring fully homomorphic encryption to the world. The development provides a huge opportunity to become the ubiquitous choice for this new upcoming market across multiple industry sectors. In order to achieve their goal of bringing this technology to the mass market, they are assembling a highly skilled team to build a complex SoC. I am looking for several ASIC Engineers with 5+ years of experience to join the team. You would join and be a support to the lead and wider team supporting with the successful delivery of the SoC to the foundry. Working with the SoC Architect and Verification Lead, you would help define and execute the strategy to build a SoC that achieves their technical and commercial goals. You support the delivery of the SoC ready for manufacture. To be suitable for this role ideally you will have a strong background in SoC design. You will need to be collaborative, an excellent communicator and able to work in a fast-changing environment. You will have: A proven track record in SoC design Deep understanding of modern design techniques Excellent understanding of verification challenges and the ability to support verification teams to achieve closure Experience in Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL The company is currently relatively small, around 20+ people but you will get the opportunity to support the lead and bring this product to market, be instrumental in the growth and success and really watch your work come to fruition. A few reminders:
- Never, ever pay anything to apply for a job. Companies should be the one paying, not you
- Never agree to buy equipment in order to start a job - this includes buying a laptop, work from home equipment
- Never agree to pay for mandatory training to onboard for a new position (even if they say that they will reimburse you for later)
- If the recruiter sends you an email from a domain that is different from the company website, ask them to communicate with you via email belonging to the company. Stay away from Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or domain that looks close to the company they are portraying
- Don’t give personal information during the application process - social security number, bank account, home address, date of birth - this could be used to target you through a social engineering attack later on
- Don’t complete a project for free. Many companies might ask you to get through a test, that’s one thing. But less scrupulous companies will actually ask you to deliver a project for free
