Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Assistant Accountant to join a fantastic organisation based in wakefield, this company are doing their part to change how are done within their sector and do tremendous things for the community.Reporting into the Financial Manager, key duties of the Assistant Accountant will include:Process Credit CardsProcess Petty Cash and maintain Petty Cash log.Post payroll journals.Bank reconciliation.Balance Sheet reconciliation.Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.Provide support for audits by gathering necessary documentation and informationAbility to maintain confidentiality of financial information.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.Provide cover for the Accounts department on an ad hoc basis to account for staff absences/holidays.Any other duties as reasonably required.To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:Previous experience of working within a finance functionStudying towards professional accountancy qualificationsStrong excel skillsConfident communicatorCareer orientatedIn return, the successful candidate will receive the following:£24,000 - £25,000 base salary25 days holidaysHybrid working environmentLonger term career opportunitiesRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
