Job Title : Book Keeper Location : Chester Pay rate : £14 per hour. Hours : 16 hours over 2-3 days Contract : Permanent Our client is looking for a meticulous and organised Bookkeeper to join their team based in Chester. If you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers, this could be the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities : Maintain daily accounting records. Log and post all receipts via PDQ, cheque, and BACS. Perform bank reconciliations. Assist in the production of monthly management accounts. Prepare cash flow forecasts. Calculate sales representative commissions. Manage payroll and salaries. Oversee the purchase ledger. Handle the sales ledger and aged debtor reporting. Prepare accounts up to trial balance, profit and loss, and balance sheet. Liaise with the company accountant. Communicate with HMRC Qualifications: Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices Proficiency in accounting software, SAGE50 and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical and numerical skills High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Relevant bookkeeping qualifications (e.g., AAT) are a plus.
