# **About you**To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria ** 1. Registered with GMC2. Medical degree3. Knowledge and experience of diabetes medicine4. Previous experience of clinical and/or basic research5. Good verbal and written communication skills6. Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work co-operatively within a multidisciplinary team. 7. Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision. 8. Ability to plan and prioritise workload **Desirable criteria** 1. Experience of supervision of students2.
