Here at Pertemps Network Catering, we are currently recruiting a cook to work for schools and Care homes in a busy environment with our clients around the Birmingham area. Hours and Days: Monday to Friday 7a.m – 3p.m Enhanced DBS is mandatory. The role involves working as part of the catering, as a school or care home cook . You will play a crucial role in providing well-balanced and appetising meals for customers and contributing to their overall well-being and academic success. Cook Responsibilities: Plan and prepare daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks for clients, following the menu guidelines and dietary requirements. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations. Order and manage food supplies to ensure the availability of fresh and high-quality ingredients. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Adapt menus to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies. Monitor food quality, portion control, and minimise waste. Ensure proper maintenance of the kitchen equipment and report any issues for repair. Assist in maintaining inventory records and budget control.
