.Data Engineer (GCP) - Lisbon Capgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Data Engineer (GCP) to join one of the worlds most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry. To leverage Lisbons tech spirit and infuse it into its brand-new Tech Competence Centre, our Client is looking to reinforce its technical capabilities on state-of-the-art technology and respond to the growth of their business. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce. They look forward to welcoming their TCC employees and onboarding them on an exciting adventure managing modern solutions and innovative technologies through global, scaled platforms to create business value with pace and agility.Responsibilities In collaboration with our data platform team and management, you will build data pipelines on our cloud platform and will contribute to bring our data projects to life. In close collaboration with the various domain leads and data product owner, you will qualify needs and build solutions within GCP accordingly, Clean and transform raw data from various sources into reliable data products. Implement tests to check the quality and reliability of the data. Document the data products to ensure a global understanding of dimensions and key-figures. Apply software engineering best practices to analytics (version control, testing, continuous integration). Propose, transform, and automate non added value processes. Academic Background University degree in computer science, data science, finance, maths/ physics or comparable work experience..Skills & Experience 4+ years working in comparable engineering roles Strong programming skills in Python and SQL and experience with Cloud Services (preferably in GCP): in our Tech Stack we use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, BigQuery for data storage, Docker and Kubernetes for computing, Airflow for orchestration, and GitLab for CI/CD. First experiences with data visualization and data analysis tools such as Looker would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Fluent in English, French is a plus.,Desired Personal Skills High attention to detail.
