Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Finance Assistant to join a growing business within a larger group of companies based in Huddersfield, this is a great all round finance role with a major focus on finance administration with some credit control included.Reporting into the Accountant, key duties of the Finance Assistant will include:Processing sales invoices and sales credit notes.Processing purchase invoices and purchase credit notes, matching these up to purchase orders and dealing with any queries.Processing expense claimsPrepare payment schedules as appropriate.Reconciling supplier accounts on a regular basis and investigating differences.Regular reconciling the bank accountsMonitor mailboxes and dealing with the finance emails as they arise.Assist in maintaining internal controls and implementing process improvement where necessary.Play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager with other ad hoc tasks as needed including month end preparation.To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:Previous experience of working within a finance functionStrong excel skillsConfident communicatorForward thinking and willing to make decisionsIn return, the successful candidate will receive the following:£27,000 - £30,000 base25 days holidaysHybrid working environmentLonger term career opportunitiesRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
