Job Title: Finance Assistant Location: Bristol Temple Meads Hourly rate: £13.75 per hour Hours: Monday - Friday - 9am - 5pm Start: ASAP Duration: End of August (temp-perm potential) Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will ensure accurate and up-to-date financial information for the business. You will handle purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, and maintain the nominal ledger up to trial balance. Proficiency in Excel, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Responsibilities: Process and post purchase invoices and corporate card purchases in the ERP system Complete month-end reconciliations and electronic filing of invoices Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies Manage the accounts mailbox and handle queries Create and manage purchase orders and set up new suppliers Process and pay supplier invoices Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts Conduct finance audits of expenses Support month-end and year-end processes Ensure legal and financial compliance of transactions Use Excel for financial tasks Candidate requirements: Integrity: Professionalism, Trust, Openness Ingenuity: Curiosity, Proactiveness, Inventiveness Invested: Relationships, Collaboration, Knowledge sharing Our client is based a short walk away from Bristol Temple Meads.
