This a super exciting opportunity with a well renowned and highly respected company in central Bristol in a superb location with a beautiful view from their offices. The Finance Manager is a crucial part of the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial monitoring and accounting.This role includes responsibilities such as monthly financial reporting, managing programme and project contracts, supporting the annual external audit, managing tenancy contracts, and overseeing group VAT returns.The Finance Manager will also supervise two staff members and support the daily operations of the finance department. Coordination with the programme and projects team to monitor and record project activity is essential for accurate accounting of all programme activities and funds.The role also requires deputising for the Finance Director as needed.Essential CriteriaFully or post-exam qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA), ideally with a graduate degree or working towards it.Proficiency in reporting, group consolidation, and preparing Financial Statements Experience in preparing and analysing management accounts and reconciling balance sheets.Knowledge of UK tax, including preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns (through MTD) with HMRC, and familiarity with VAT apportionment for business/non-business compliance.Proficiency in MS Office, Sage, and similar accounting software, with intermediate or advanced Excel skills.Ability to recognise and implement solutions, leading departmental enhancements and process streamlining with the support of the Finance Director.
