Job Title: HGV Technician Shift: Monday - Friday, Days Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 About the Opportunity : Due to increased business levels, our specialist vehicle manufacturer is looking to add a skilled HGV Technician to the team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join a growing company and work with a variety of heavy goods vehicles. Duties of the HGV Technician : As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include: Routine Servicing and Repairs : Perform a variety of routine servicing, inspections, and subsequent repairs on Distribution Tractors, Ro-Ro Tractors, and other sea port equipment. Visual and Operational Checks : Conduct checks to locate worn, dirty, or maladjusted parts. Technical Inspections : Utilize technical manuals and diagnostic techniques to find and repair inoperable or defective machine parts, components, or systems using a range of test equipment. Accident Damage Inspections : Undertake thorough inspections of accident-damaged machines and produce accurate reports to facilitate repair processes. Mobile Technician Duties : Be prepared to work away from home on customer vehicles, with or without workshop facilities being available for use. Experience and Skills Required : To be successful in this role, you should have: HGV Experience : Previous experience working on a range of heavy goods vehicles. Technical Expertise : Any previous HGV technician experience will be beneficial. Driving Licence : A valid UK driving licence.
