HSE Manager Location: Chester Hours: Mon to Thurs 08:30 – 17:00, Fri 08:30 – 12:30 Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum Holidays : 25 days plus bank holidays Purpose of Role: We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to enhance health, safety, and environmental standards across multiple factories. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with legislation and promote the important of Safety first. Key Responsibilities: Review and update HSE policies and procedures. Promote health & safety awareness throughout the company. Maintain the Health & Safety Management system. Ensure safe plant, machinery, and handling of substances. Maintain up-to-date Risk/COSHH/Manual Handling assessments. Keep accident records and present safety data. Coordinate Health & Safety training. Conduct health & safety audits and inspections. Prepare monthly Health & Safety reports. Maintain ISO 18001 certification. Develop and deliver training programs. Implement sustainability and energy-saving initiatives. Oversee pollution control, waste management, recycling, and renewable energy. Audit and report on environmental performance. Person Specification: Essential Qualities/Skills: Good standard of education NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in health & safety Minimum 5 years of health & safety experience Team player with strong communication skills Self-starter with initiative Desirable Qualities/Skills: Diploma in a relevant field Experience with ISO 9001, 18001 IEMA Associate Certificate in Environmental Management Knowledge of ISO 14001, BS (OHSAS) 18001, ISO 50001 Manufacturing environment experience Presentation skills If you meet the criteria and are passionate about health, safety, and environmental management, we encourage you to apply.
