Role: Lightning Protection Repairing and Testing Engineer Salary: £36,000 Location: South Yorkshire, Midlands Are you an experienced Lightning Protection Engineer looking for that next step? The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Lighting Protection Engineer who is trained in Testing and Repairing to be part of a well-established team. Renowned within their industry, they specialise across both products and services within; fall arrest equipment, electrical testing, building access, fire solutions and water treatment. The Role With a strong background in Installing lightning protection and earthing systems on various structures across private, public, industrial, and commercial sectors, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. You will generally be working outdoors and at height to gain access to the roof tops and systems which can be sometimes in difficult to reach areas. Types of areas you will work are high-rise domestic residential properties, large retail units and industrial structures. Main Duties To carry out Lightning Protection system inspections, testing and repairs on a vast variety of buildings and structures. Checking and reporting compliance against industry standards To undertake physical tests and visual inspections against agreed work orders from clients Using standard forms and checklists, produce reports for each site and system tested so that the required certification can be produced internally and provided to the client. Correctly identify any remedial or repair works required using technical knowledge and a deep understanding of British Standards. To undertake all work in a diligent and professional way, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. Maintain own vehicle and equipment to a high standard, driving carefully and respectfully at all times. What you will need to be successful in this role The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in engineering and Lightning Protection, creative problem-solving skills, risk assessments and a collaborative spirit. A commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to challenges are essential for success in this role. Furthermore, we are looking for someone who displays: NVQ Level 3 in Lighting Conductor Engineering Customer Facing experience in a field service environment Excellent Planning and organisational skills IPAF, SSSTS or PASMA CSCS Card Holder Flexibility to all tasks taken A Full UK Driving License is essential If the above is of interest to you then click to apply!
