Looker Data EngineerCapgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Looker Data Engineer to join one of the worlds most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry. To leverage Lisbons tech spirit and infuse it into its brand-new Tech Competence Centre, our Client is looking to reinforce its technical capabilities on state-of-the-art technology and respond to the growth of their business. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce. They look forward to welcoming their TCC employees and onboarding them on an exciting adventure managing modern solutions and innovative technologies through global, scaled platforms to create business value with pace and agility.Responsibilities Estimate, plan, manage, and lead the assigned data integration projects/tasks within the Data Warehouse team. Coordinate the related tasks and workload with the rest of the Data Warehouse engineers. Build corresponding ETL/ELT processes and data flows to provide data outputs for analytics and data science. Create consumable data models and visualizations. Cooperate with the support teams to ensure data consistency, data accuracy, and performance of the delivered flows. Provide L3 support when required. Coordinate the system upgrades together with other platform teams, including the planning and execution of non-regression tests. Define and promote best practices and design principles for Data Warehouse architecture in cooperation with the Data Warehouse architect.Academic Background Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Skills & Experience Translate the business requirements into technical specifications, in cooperation with Group Data Office. At least four years working in comparable engineering roles. Strong knowledge of Looker (including LookML). Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferable with GCP BigQuery. Knowledge of dbt and version management tools (e.g. GIT). Strong programing skills in SQL, and Python. Scrum methodology knowledge. Fluent English required Desired Personal Skills Excellent communication, leadership, and facilitation skills Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, distributed environment with high expectations Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Interview Process Our team will actively review all applications.
